SQL replication for Citrix XenApp datastore, Freeware Hyper-V manager and VMware lessons learned power outage.


The SQL database in a Citrix XenApp infrastructure is a kind of single point of failure. In this article Citrix describes how to setup a SQL server database mirroring of the Citrix datastore for Disaster Recovery Capabilities.


Michel Roth is pointing me to a freeware utility called Hyper-V manager. Hyper-V Manager is a free tool that sits in the System Tray that allows you to Start, Stop, Save State, and Pause the VMs running on the box.


Eric Siebert wrote down the lessons learned to recover a VMware infrastructure after a power outage. Although most things are pretty logical it's good starting point for creating your own test or documentation.
